Men Who Make ducky Say "Yowza!"

Being a single, heterosexual, female kind of ducky, I am occasionally distracted from my usual activities when my gaze happens upon members of the opposite sex. Sometimes, this distraction is only momentary, and my mind quickly returns to the important business of searching for the Cheez-Its. Once in a while, however, I see a particular person of the male persuasion that causes me to stop dead in my ducky tracks and say, "Yowza!" I completely forget about Cheez-Its, coffee, and adventures, and focus my attention on contemplating more romantic matters.

And so, without further ado, here is a brief rundown of the men who make ducky say "Yowza!"

Angus MacFadyen

This Scottish-born actor first gained attention for his passionate and insightful portrayal of "Robert the Bruce" in the film Braveheart. He has also appeared in such films as The Brylcreem Boys, The Cradle Will Rock, and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. His most recent appearance was in an ABC television series titled Miracles, which also starred Skeet Ulrich. The program was about a group of people who investigate paranormal ("miraculous") events and search for the truth behind them. MacFadyen played the role of "Alva Keel," the head of the investigative group. Unfortunately, as the series was a mid-season replacement, the folks at ABC decided to air the program only sporadically, with very little promotion, and the series was cancelled after only a short run of about six episodes. You can read about my displeasure over the cancellation of this program on another part of my web site. This particular ducky is hoping that Angus MacFadyen will be gracing movie theatres or television screens near her again, soon! While there is little information about this handsome and talented actor available on the Web, I have found a couple of links that you can get to by clicking on the photos above!

Anthony Stewart Head

Born in England, actor Anthony Stewart Head is probably best-known on American television for his portrayal of "Rupert Giles" on UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He has also appeared in numerous films, and has made guest appearances on many television programs. Head is also a talented singer and songwriter, and recently produced an album, titled Music For Elevators with George Sarah. In England, he is currently appearing on the BBC series, Manchild, a program that has been called a sort of "Sex and the City for middle-aged men." There is all sorts of information about Anthony Stewart Head and his activities available on the Web. Bentley's Bedlam, linked to the photo above, is still a good source, although it hasn't been updated much recently. Another good site is ashead [dot] com , which is loaded with articles and pictures.

Robert Patrick

Born right here in the good old U.S.A., Robert Patrick has performed in over 55 films, and made numerous notable television appearances. He first gained exposure playing the "liquid metal" cyborg in Terminator 2, although he already had some acting credits under his belt by then. He has played a variety of roles, from a kind and sensitive husband in A Texas Funeral to a chilling, cold-blooded serial murderer in the recent T.V. adaptation of James Patterson's First to Die. He starred in The X-Files as "Agent John Doggett" for two years, and is currently working on a film titled Ladder 49. His Official Site is a good place to start when looking for information about this terriffic actor. The Robert Patrick Shrine, linked to this photo, is another.

The Runners Up...

There are actually quite a few men who make ducky say "Yowza!" Unfortunately, due to the time constraints involved in being a busy ducky, I just don't have time to list them all individually as I did for the three above. Also, I just don't have as many pictures of them! So, I shall have to simply refer to them as "Runners Up," who may one day appear as featured Men Who Make ducky Say "Yowza!" The following is a short list of men who have this potential....

  • Rutger Hauer - Bath tub scene with Jennifer Jason Leigh in Flesh and Blood. That's all I'm sayin'.
  • Alexis Denisoff - Stars as "Wesley Wyndham-Pryce" on WB's Angel. His character has gone from wimpy little priss to studly, manly fighter of evil. Also, exceptionally easy on the eyes.
  • Shepard Smith - Okay, maybe I'm just being weird here, but hey, it's MY list!
  • Drew Goddard - This man has recently been writing some wonderful episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He's witty, talented, and, based on photos I've seen from the annual Posting Board Party this past February, he's very much a good-looking, hunka-hunka literary love!
  • Meat Loaf - Come on, you didn't really expect me not to mention a rock star in this entire list, did you?
