One month old now!
Here's our baby with Matisse, his Moluccan 'too brooder buddy.
(Ours is the lazy one on the left!)

At 32 days old, the baby weighed in at 562 grams!
Eyes are wide open, and feathers are coming in!

Here are shots of the baby's left wing and tail.
Lots of new feather growth here!

Look at that face! Getting real cute now!
If you look real close you can see the red starting
to show on top of his head!

The baby's leg band was put on today!
It has to be placed on when the foot is still small
enough to slip it on, but big enough that it will not
fall off. Our baby is wearing a special stainless
steel band that is much stronger than the normal
aluminum bands. Greenwings have been known
to break the aluminum with their strong beaks!

"I'm getting bored of this and ready to go back to sleep!"
Linda tells me the picture on the right is the baby's
2nd favorite sleeping position. The first is sleeping
with his head turned to one side... that sounds so cute!

A very special Thank You goes to Linda and Roy at True Companion Aviary
for the special care they give all their babies
and for keeping us updated with information and photos!

Any comments or suggestions (or congratulations.. snicker..), please e-mail me!
