King is a female (yes, female) peach faced lovebird. We got King when she was just a few months old. As she grew and her hormones kicked in, she wanted a boyfriend, and she thought she found the big green man of her dreams when she laid eyes on Kiwi, our Quaker. Kiwi wanted nothing to do with poor little King, and her mind was set on nestbuilding, so we found it best to find her a more suitable mate. Since we didn't wish to breed lovebirds, we gave King to a lovebird breeder we knew who had the perfect mate for her. Last we heard she was happily settled in with a new mate :)
